Kundalini Awakening

Kundalini is a Sanskrit term that translates to ‘curled up snake’. If a coiled snake is sitting anywhere motionless, it will go unnoticed by the naked eye. Similarly, the belief is that the mystical kundalini shakti is eternally present in us & we are unaware of it. Kundalini is located at the bottom of our spines, existing in a curled-up position. It is a treasure inside us with enormous potential. For example, we cannot see an atom, but after tampering with it, a terrific thing occurs. It releases a colossal amount of energy. Incredibly, a tiny particle can contain energy of vast magnitude. Likewise, we embody an enormous source of energy, that is kundalini. In simple terms, awakening the kundalini is exploring the potential energy in us.

What happens after the kundalini awakening?

The word Kundalini traces its origins to the Upanishads. Kundalini is dynamic. It creates both-a calming influence when tranquil and turbulent when uncontrolled. The serpent with Lord Shiva signifies his attainment of the apex energy. Lord Shiva’s third-eye opening indicates his ability to see within his soul. It also implies a broader sense of understanding about everything. This potential lies in each one of us.

An awakened kundalini will give a person new and very different energy, affecting both the physical and mental state. A person will start functioning in a new way altogether. Kundalini heightens the senses and unlocks the peak perception level of anyone who has awakened it. The fundamentals of Kundalini’s awakening are to give us an apex understanding of empiricism.

A person can awaken it by practicing Kundalini Yoga.

What is Kundalini Yoga?

For the renowned yogi Sadhguru, Kundalini is the principal energy of life. While speaking on Kundalini Awakening, he remarked, “If you activate this energy dimension, other dimensions of life will open up.” Sadhguru observed that Kundalini Yoga is the most dangerous and robust form of yoga. Kundalini yoga requires a person to be in a particular type of environment. Sadhguru talks about two ways one can awaken the Kundalini, both life-changing in their way. The first is to create an environment where the awakening can ascend gradually. A person practicing Kundalini Yoga at a slow pace will be able to deal with the changes with ease. The second way involves awakening expeditiously, which dramatically alters everything. A person won’t be able to handle the changes if the pace is faster. How many ways are there to awaken the Kundalini, one might ask. Sadhguru informs us that there are one-hundred twelve ways to practice Kundalini yoga.

Can you activate kundalini by yourself?

It is advisable to follow the guidance of a guru or teacher in case a person wants to activate the kundalini potential. As the awakening of the kundalini generates intense energy, it might become arduous to handle. A guide to kundalini awakening helps to attain it in a controlled manner.
