In order to recieve blessings from laughing buddha, we should put the idol with a purpose, to remind us to be thankful and fortunate. We shouldn’t keep it just as a showpiece instead, our mind should be attuned with it to reap it’s benefits.

It is very important to feel it’s presence. So, we should keep a big idol with large tummy, which is noticeable.

It is important to tickle or rub the belly of buddha daily. This helps to attract more abundance and prosperity

Be it gifted or purchased. Before using it, we must energise it by sprinkling some holy water, or ‘ganga jal’. Burn some incense stick or aroma candles near it. Keep it in sunlight for some time. We can also offer some flowers in order to connect with it better.

The Position of the Buddha should always be in living room or foyer, few feets away from the ground that is above or preferably at eye level.

It should directly face the entrance such that, it is the first thing that catches sight of the person entering the house and makes the person feel happy and cheerful.

It is scientifically proven that smile is contagious. Therefore, looking at pleasing, smiling buddha would help us to get rid of negativity and stress quickly.

One shouldn’t keep the idol in bedroom or any other space other than living room as being a monk they are away from worldly pleasures. One should also not put it over electronics or gadgets.
